Saudi League teams are showing interest in Liverpool’s key attacking pair.

Liverpool attacking duo attracting 'serious interest' from Saudi Pro League

Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz from Liverpool are reportedly of serious interest to Al-Hilal, a Saudi Pro League team, this summer.

Nunez, who has struggled to consistently produce his best form since joining from Benfica in 2022, is expected to depart Liverpool this summer.

Despite only making 17 starts in 44 competitive games this season, the Uruguayan has managed to score seven goals and provide seven assists for the Merseyside team.

Even though Diaz has 16 goals and eight assists in 47 competitive games this season, his future at Anfield is also uncertain.

Although the Reds are eager to talk about a new contract at the end of the current one, Diaz is scheduled to enter the final two years of his current one.

However, interest from Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League may dampen Liverpool’s hopes of securing Diaz with a new deal.

The Saudi Pro League team is reportedly expressing “serious interest” in signing Diaz and Nunez, a teammate from Liverpool, according to Caught Offside. According to the report, Arne Slot, the head coach of Liverpool, is hesitant to let Diaz go during the next transfer window. A bid of about €80 million (£68 million), though, is thought to be sufficient to convince the Reds to approve the Colombian’s sale. Nunez’s departure is probably more acceptable to Liverpool, but it might also require an offer of €80 million (£68 million) to sign a player whose contract expires in the summer of 2028.

Atletico Madrid has been strongly linked to Nunez, but it’s unclear if the Spanish team will pay Liverpool’s asking price.

According to Al-Hilal, they are eager to add more well-known players to their roster in an effort to strengthen it, particularly since they are probably going to lose this season’s championship race.

Al-Hilal already has several former Premier League players, such as Aleksandar Mitrovic, Joao Cancelo, and Ruben Neves.

Jorge Jesus recently resigned from his position due to rumors that he was considering a position with the Brazil national team, and the Saudi Pro League team is currently looking for a new manager.
