Daniel Levy is taking “next steps” to get a deal with Eberechi Eze.

Daniel Levy taking 'next steps' to secure Eze Tottenham deal

According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur is making significant moves to acquire Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze before the transfer window closes.

Richarlison and Brennan Johnson scored goals as Spurs defeated Burnley 3-0 at home on Saturday to begin their 2025–26 Premier League campaign.

A new signer Mohammed Kudus was impressive on the right side, but Thomas Frank needs to be more creative in the attacking areas, particularly in light of James Madison’s ACL injury.

The player’s apparent willingness to join the Lilywhites has encouraged them, as they have identified Eze as a perfect fit for the role.

Daniel Levy, Tottenham chairman

Fabrizio Romano claims that in regards to Eze’s deal, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has communicated directly with Palace chairman Steve Parish.

It has previously been suggested that the north London club were planning to open formal talks over a deal for the England international, and they are now ready to offer £55m fixed fee plus £5m add-ons to get the deal done.

Spurs are trying to acquire the 27-year-old for less than the £68 million that was previously part of his contract.

Eze is reportedly still a target for Arsenal, but the Gunners are unlikely to make a move for him following Ethan Nwaneri’s contract renewal.

Eze has been outstanding for the Eagles since moving from Queens Park Rangers in 2020, managing a total of 40 goals and 28 assists from 168 games.

The technically talented attacking midfielder scored Palace’s FA Cup final goal against Manchester City and finished the 2024–25 season with 14 goals and 11 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.

Oliver Glasner, ideally, would love to keep Eze with him, but it appears that Palace are looking for options elsewhere to replace him. According to Ben Jacobs, Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss wants to move to Selhurst Park, and he would cost around £30m.

According to The Athletic, the Eagles have also approached Christos Tzolis, an attacker for Club Brugge.
