Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has stated that he intends to remain at the Bernabeu “for many years,” and it is believed that the Brazil international is about to sign a new contract.
The 24-year-old, who is currently playing for Real Madrid in the 2025 Club World Cup, was in outstanding form on Thursday night against Red Bull Salzburg, contributing one goal and one assist to the team’s 3-0 victory.
The Saudi Pro League is reportedly keen to sign Vinicius, and his current contract with Los Blancos is set to expire in June 2027. His future is still up in the air.
However, according to recent reports, Real Madrid and Vinicius are now nearing an agreement on a new contract that would bind him to the capital giants until June 2030.
After defeating Salzburg, Vinicius referred to Real Madrid as “the club of his life.”
Vinicius expressed his hope to reporters that he would be able to remain here for many years. “This is the club of my life, as I’ve always said. I hope to continue playing here because I’m really pleased with the coach and all of the staff.
I still have two years left on my contract, which ends in 2027. I’ve consistently stated that I want to work here for the rest of my career and create amazing history with this group.
As the team gets ready to play European rivals Juventus in the tournament’s round of 16 on July 1, the Brazilian will be bidding to help Los Blancos win the 2025 Club World Cup.
After joining Real Madrid from Flamengo in the summer of 2018, Vinicius has made 319 appearances for the team across all competitions, tallying 106 goals and dishing out 83 assists.
In contrast to the first two games against Al-Hilal and Pachuca, Real Madrid’s performance against Salzburg left head coach Xabi Alonso “satisfied” with his team’s performance.
