Following a car accident that injured 65 people during a parade to celebrate Liverpool’s Premier League victory, a 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving, and driving while impaired by drugs.

Reports that a car had struck several people on Water Street in the city center prompted police to call them just after 6 p.m. yesterday.
