Tottenham and West Ham are in the running to sign a Red hot Nigerian midfield player.

Raphael Onyedika

According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are in the running to sign Raphael Onyedika, a Nigerian international midfielder, from Club Brugge, a Belgian team.

As they try to bolster their midfield options for the upcoming season, Spurs have reportedly expressed a strong interest in the Super Eagles star, according to a report by Transferfeed.

The 23-year-old had previously been linked to West Ham, but Tottenham’s entry into the transfer market may make it more competitive to sign him.

With his performances in the Belgian Pro League and European competitions, Onyedika, who is renowned for his strong defensive abilities and ability to manage the tempo of a game, has risen steadily through the ranks in Europe and attracted the attention of several elite clubs.

On their end, Club Brugge seems to be getting ready for the Nigerian midfielder’s potential departure.

Ludovit Reis, a direct replacement for Onyedika, has already been signed by the Belgian powerhouses from Hamburg, Germany.

According to Transfermarkt, the Nigerian midfielder’s current market value is estimated at 20 million euros, and he has a contract with Club Brugge that expires in June 2027.

Onyedika would be playing in the English Premier League for the first time if a deal is finalized, which would also increase Nigeria’s increasing number of elite European clubs.

Fans of the Super Eagles, who are anxious to see more of their stars compete internationally, will be even more excited by his possible switch.
