After completing a £70 million transfer, Manchester United believes they have found the next Mo Salah.

Salah was a class above the rest during the 24–25 season, leading Liverpool to the Premier League table by finishing first in both the scoring and assisting charts.

The Egyptian had an incredible personal season, scoring 29 goals and dishing out 18 assists.

However, despite having a difficult season, United is constantly trying to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s team.

Diego Leon, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha are among the players the Red Devils have signed thus far.

United has high expectations after acquiring Brentford star Mbeumo, who finished the previous season with 20 goals and nine assists in 42 games across all competitions, for an estimated £70 million.

Data on Mbeumo suggests that he is the closest thing to Salah, according to the Daily Mail.

They (United) also deny that Mbeumo and Cunha were signed specifically to be the two No 10s Amorim needs for his 3-4-2-1 formation, according to the report, saying that they are adaptable players who can play in any system.

“Mbeumo’s data, in particular, showed that United had acquired the player who was closest to Mohamed Salah without actually acquiring the Liverpool player.”

“I think he played well,” manager Amorim said of Mbeumo’s United debut. He must comprehend the posture and motions. However, I believe that a lot of space was created by the initial touch and the way he connects with just one touch.

“You can see that his physical condition isn’t the best, but he can stretch a team because he runs a lot. So he fulfilled all of my expectations.”

United will play Arsenal at Old Trafford to start their Premier League campaign next weekend.
