
Both Liverpool’s home match against Arsenal and their Premier League trip to Newcastle United have been rescheduled. On Friday, August 15, the Premier League champions host Bournemouth to begin their 2025–26 top flight campaign.
In their second and third games of the season, the Reds then visit St. James’ Park before hosting the Gunners at Anfield. Additionally, Liverpool’s games have been rescheduled following the broadcasting decisions made for both gameweeks.
Now, on Monday, August 25, Arne Slot’s team will travel to Newcastle. The game will be broadcast on Sky Sports and kick off at 8 p.m. at St. James’ Park.
The Reds’ matchup with Arsenal, who placed second in the Premier League standings the previous season, will also be televised by Sky Sports.
The title rivals’ early matchup has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 31 at 4:30 p.m.
It will be Liverpool’s last game before the next international break and the end of the summer transfer window on September 1.
Supporters can watch all three of the Reds’ Premier League debut games live on TV as club-record signing Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez attempt to establish themselves as soon as possible after joining Anfield this summer. Both games have been rescheduled for broadcasting.
After their initial return was postponed due to the untimely death of striker Diogo Jota, Liverpool returned to the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday, July 8, to begin their preseason schedule.
On Sunday, July 13, the Reds will play their first game since the Portuguese’s death and their first friendly of the summer away at Preston North End. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. and will be televised live on ITV 1.
After a 13-day break, Liverpool will play AC Milan in Hong Kong on July 26 at the recently opened Kai Tak Sports Park in their next preseason match.
After that, on July 30, the Reds will fly to Japan for their first-ever preseason trip to play Yokohama F Marinos at Nissan Stadium.
Liverpool’s doubleheader match against Athletic Bilbao at Anfield, which they started last summer when they hosted Sevilla and Las Palmas on the same day, will wrap up their preseason on August 4.
The Reds’ Premier League title defense starts at Anfield against Bournemouth on August 10, followed by Crystal Palace and the Community Shield on August 10. The Reds will play the team that defeated Manchester City in the FA Cup final back in May.
